Super Sunday

"We fear making sacrifices, but the irony is that we make a lot of sacrifices when we are not living the will of God."

Father, the false teachers of this world promise freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity-- for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him (2Pet.2:19).
Lord, I acknowledge my slavery to certain sins, and I deeply desire to be mastered by You alone. Only Your mastery brings liberty.
"Everything is permissible for me:--but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"--but I desire not to be mastered by anything (I Cor. 6:12).
Lord God, help me to recognize and discern what is not beneficial for me. Help me to see that authentic liberty is being free to do certain things and not to do others.

What a wonderful devotional!! Help me to recognize and discern what is and what is not permissible--a very good prayer to God.

I'm visiting for Peggy and myself today. She has been ill for two days, so please keep her in your prayers.

Blessings Darlene...Great scriptures! Profound statement about sacrifices & yet the verses bring Christ's liberty & solution!
He is our Master and we cannot serve two masters that why there's a verse that tells us to choose. We can serve one or else we are serving the other without even intending to...Thank you for sharing the prayers and Beth Moore!
May your SUPER SUNDAY be a fresh start for a super week in Him!

Hi Darlene!!

My Super Simple Sunday is on "The Power of Your Love" blog!!

I am so excited I can hardly contain myself!! Just a small house--just what I need, and that's all I ask. But, the way all this came about--God's hands definitely are in this, and all the glory and praise goes to Him.

Have you stopped by "The Lighthouse of Prayer" yet?

We've just started this recently and I think you might like looking into leaving a prayer request there. We'll all join you in prayer!!!
